* Created a flexible traffic framework, abstracting the API of very different traffic generators (TestCenter, PCTA) to leverage them both in automation - Collaborated closely with other sites to ensure interoperability* Maintained PCTA, an internally developed test set written in C - Reduced demand for costly TestCenter, in conjunction with the above* Developed an extensible tool (with GUI) enabling testers with no automation experience to connect to their test setups and play scripts / prepared tasks - Saved the company an incalculable amount of manual effort* Designed an intricate web interface for engineers to create test cases in XML via an ActiveX-based plugin, all version-controlled using ClearCase - Frequently anticipated needs, delivering utilities in advance of requests* Made a Visual Basic program (with GUI) to convert Word 97 docs to XML - Minimized conversion time for 1200+ poorly formatted documents* Automated over 832 test cases, yielding in excess of 4,519 tests* Initiated the practice of using unit tests to test code as it is developed* Trained and supervised new automation members, locally and remotely* Converged automation efforts as part of Global Test Architecture Team
