As a senior litigation consultant I was under contract with the Department of Justice to assist with case management, especially for their portfolio of spent nuclear fuel contract cases. I led projects involving extensive document review, factual research, and legal analysis specific to different legal and technical issues in many cases. Based on this research, I compiled material to be used in depositions, damages claims, and expert reports. I also coordinated case scheduling and discovery responses across the Department of Justice's entire portfolio of spent nuclear fuel cases.

I worked in the Knowledge and Information Services Department where I researched court administration, especially concerning the use of social media, and compiled new academic resources for use in our extensive library. I also managed website modules known as CourTopics, conducted regular website maintenance, and performed minor library work.

I interviewed and evaluated a few hundred candidates for admission to the College. Each interview would last about 20 minutes, after which I would prepare an extensive evaluation of the applicant. As a representative of the Admissions Office, I gave tours and spoke at events for alumni, students, administrators, and other special groups. I also worked on a project writing various automated messages to send to applicants and further personalize the Admissions Office's communication. In addition, I wrote an official W&M blog directed towards prospective students.

Based in the secondary market processing division, I devised and implemented a new processing system still in use today. In doing so, I cleared a year of backlogged paperwork and dramatically increased overall efficiency and minimized processing time. I acted as a point-of-contact for national investors such as Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and US Bank, governmental agencies such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and local title companies.

I campaigned door-to-door, up to 150 houses per day, for a variety of candidates for public office in the state of Michigan from across the political spectrum. Based on my campaign work, I made recommendations to the firm's partners as to the expected outcomes of different of elections.

As a research assistant to Dr. John Weicher, I examined the relationship between the affordable housing goals set by the federal government's two main players in the secondary mortgage market, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the housing bubble that triggered the Global Financial Crisis. This involved finding and dissecting data regarding the portfolios of these two Government Sponsored Enterprises and other entities in the wider mortgage market, analyzing hearings of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, and scrutinizing regulatory developments in the mortgage market. Based on my research, I co-authored a paper submitted to the Department of the Treasury containing recommendations regarding the future regulatory structure of the mortgage market.

Working in the Government Affairs department, I assisted the staff lobbyist in composing and managing material sent out to member companies and governmental representatives. I facilitated meetings between representatives from these member companies and Members of Congress, and worked closely with Congressional Offices to create a Composites Caucus which attempted to include language encouraging the use of composites in transportation bills.

I worked as an office assistant answering telephones, preparing paperwork for discovery, and doing other miscellaneous tasks. I created a new system for archiving old files that incorporated the physical files and a searchable computer database.
