The Event Manager plays an instrumental role in all of the development-related event functions. It is a fast-paced position that requires managing the details of several projects simultaneously, each of which will require a blend of creativity and critical thinking and an instinct for cultivating relationships. This position will also play an important role in the stewardship function of St. Paul's supporters. The Event Manager reports directly to the Foundation Executive Director, but coordinates with many other areas of the Corporation.The Event Manager will plan, organize, promote and facilitate a number of annual events including but not limited to:.1. LUV Gala 2. Heritage Society Appreciation Luncheon 3. Prayer Breakfast4. Special ground breaking and ribbon cutting ceremonies5. Planned giving presentations/home receptions• LUV Gala– In partnership with the LUV Gala Chair, manage all revenue generating activities of St. Paul's annual fundraising event. Areas of oversight include (but not limited to): Table sponsorships, live/silent auctions, fund-an-item, tickets sales and other opportunities.• Donor Relations – Oversee the donor recognition function. Duties will include: gift acknowledgement and stewardship activities, writing donor correspondence, and assisting with drafting donor reports and fundraising materials.• Customer Service – The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships among a wide community of supporters, including the Foundation Team and other staff, Board and committee members, and volunteers to achieve the Foundation’s development goals.• Oversee other corporate special events requested by members of the Executive Team.
