As Social Media Specialist, I worked across all resort groups to tell the story of Copper Mountain using my love of social media and the latest insights and trends in the digital media space. I was able to bring $60K in revenue from social media platforms and rated #1 in the percentage of growth (based on Slopefillers data) for all ski resorts in North America. Some of my other duties and responsibilities included: • Managing all social media networks including Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Instagram, Pinterest, Yelp, and TripAdvisor • Disseminating social media campaigns for Copper Mountain, including, blogger outreach, social network initiatives, social news participation, mobile marketing, and microsite participation• Outreach to target audiences through various social mediums to create online conversations and inform online communities on snow quality & resort happenings• Tracking and monitoring the success of online initiatives (i.e., impressions, reach and influence) and providing weekly reports to the Marketing Team• Creating Google Analytics tracking URLs for sales, events, and promotions, and external websites.• Researching and writing content for the Copper Blog that’s consistent with Copper Mountain’s brand, voice, and style• Working with Marketing Team to develop timely, consistent, and quality content• Creating consistent “sticky” posts for related niche sites• Keeping up-to-date on social media trends & products and identifying engagement and revenue-producing opportunities within social media• Recommending digital/social media strategies as needed and as opportunities present themselves
