Cruz is a graduate of George Mason University with a bachelors degree in Media Communications and a minor in Event Technical Production. His involvement in Television Production began in high school where he accumulated over 1000 hours leading a sports broadcasting team. In college, he was involved on campus through the office of student media serving as the General Manager for Mason Cable Network, and a replay operator, camera op, and technical director for MCN Sports in partnership with ESPN+ and the A10 Network. In his spare time, he volunteered on the sets of short films and web series in a variety of roles. After graduation, Cruz moved to Austin, TX to work as an Producer for FloSports.
