Crystal is a St. Louis native, born and raised in the rural parts of the city and county, and knows all too well of the hardships/stumbling blocks, as well as the stereotypes that African American and all youth face from day to day. Being able to overcome these setbacks by focusing on her goals and staying in her books has lead her to a host of accomplishments such as graduating from high school, receiving her Associates, and her Bachelors in Mass Communications/Radio Broadcasting, which is a field that she’s been proud to work in since 2009, as well as many others.Accomplishing these things have motivated her to give back to her community and the youth as a whole by being a positive role model and encouraging the world’s youth to fulfill their dreams and staying on the right track to do so. An advocate for reading, Crystal believes that a book can make a difference and can take you on a journey outside of your boundaries which can broaden your horizons; all the more reason why she highly promotes reading and encourages all to visit the library regularly.Crystal holds annual toy drives for area children in need around the holiday season and makes it her mission to inspire and leave a positive mark on the lives of our youth, letting them know that no matter the circumstances in their lives, greatness is reachable for all. When she’s not working, which is the majority of the time, Crystal enjoys cooking, singing, laughing, & spending time with family & friends…just to name a few.
