Responsible for handling incoming calls for reservations at each of Evans Hotels three properties. The first of the three properties is The Bahia Resort Hotel, a Mediterranean inspired property with over 300 room accommodations. The second property is The Catamaran Resort and Spa, a Polynesian inspired property, also with over 300 room accommodations. The third property is The Lodge at Torrey Pines, a prestigious AAA Five Diamond property with over 160 room accommodations. This position is crucial to the success of each property, responsible for creating an outstanding, friendly first impression.

Responsible for all front desk staff (8 front desk agents/ 2 night auditors), trained all new staff on the reservation system Innpoints, the ADP hand punch system, the Saflok key system, and on all correct front desk/ night audit procedures and hotel policies. I mentored and motivated the staff and implemented an incentive program that increased sales and positive reviews. I was also acting as the housekeeping manager, managing a housekeeping staff of 10, completing room inspections and ensuring cleanliness standards were met and that all rooms received daily service. I implemented a quarterly deep cleaning schedule and charts. I completed all scheduling for staff and managed all accounts receivable. I oversaw all departments including maintenance and sales. Ensuring all maintenance issues were addressed and completed in a timely manner. Made sure all groups were inputted correctly, rooms were assigned accordingly, and that the sales coordinator had everything necessary for smooth operation. I acted as the General Manager when the GM was not on property or not available. I assisted the General Manager with any duties given and I hosted our weekly department head meetings. I also hosted our bi-monthly staff meetings. I completed all inventory reports weekly and submitted P/O’s as necessary to corporate. I would give guests and prospective events coordinators property and room tours.

Reviewed all paperwork for new hires, including W-2’s, I-9’s, applications, etc. for accuracy and completion. Entered all new hire information into their system in a timely manner all while paying close attention to detail. Filed all paperwork alphabetically at the end of each day. Received the “Heavenly Star” award for my diligent work with the company. I was also invited to return the next season.
