- Led the A1 Revisited media accountability project, looking back at the Seattle Times' 1942 coverage of the incarceration of Japanese American residents of Bainbridge Island. - Lead a team of talented journalists to produce the Sunday Mix section of the Seattle Times, including arts & entertainment, food, communities, travel and outdoors stories.- Created a regular features series called This City Block to highlight specific micro-communities and the roles they play in defining the city.

- Co-founded the Communities beat at The Seattle Times, a special features beat that focuses on highlighting the issues significant to undercovered populations in the city- Co-founded the Inclusive Style Guide Committee to regularly review the Times' style guide to ensure it is inclusive and respectful of all communities. - Wrote several award-winning features highlighting marginalized communities- Worked to help reestablish trust with undercovered marginalized communities. -Co-founded a company book club ST Reads to encourage Times journalists to learn more about marginalized communities and inclusive coverage.

- Reported travel features all around the PNW and Hawaii- Revitalized the travel beat with a greater focus on lesser known communities and topics in the regular travel locations.- Collaborated with the graphics department to create a series called Starter Kit to introduce outdoors activities to new populations. -

Working directly for the Director of the press, I was responsible for not only editing, acquiring, and seeing several books through their entire production schedules, but also assisting in managing the administrative duties of the press.Accomplishments:Co-edited and oversaw several books through each production cycleEdited the press’s first e-book original, Intensive Care by Danielle Ofri.Assisted in acquiring several new authors and new book ideas.Discovered & acquired permissions for new poems for a collection of poetry by James Baldwin.Wrote three successful grant proposals for operational funds.Created new organizational systems for improved record keeping and management of book schedulesElected as IT Power User to assist the editorial dept. with technology training and troubleshooting

Originally joining the staff to oversee publication of promotional materials and to serve as general staff, I revived the Center’s bi-annual newsletter as a vehicle for student voices and concerns.Accomplishments:Revived and initiated a new format for the bi-annual newsletter. Edited and designed 6 bi-annual newsletters of the newsletter. Successfully recruited student writers to contribute to the newsletter.
