Crystal is currently the Senior Director of Curriculum and Instruction at the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities and has over 20 years of experience in the area of curriculum design and programming, providing leadership in both in school and non-profit settings. Most recently, Crystal Bieter was a Literacy Coach with Groves Academy, a private school for students from second through twelfth grade diagnosed with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder, located in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. In this role, she worked within schools and afterschool settings like the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, providing literacy coaching and training to teachers.Prior to this, she served as a Program Director and Education Director with the Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities, designing and implementing educational, vocational and leadership programs for students aged 6 to 18. In this position, she also served as the education lead for the organization, providing educational curriculum and literacy activities as well as training to both management and staff. Before joining the Boys and Girls Club, Crystal was a licensed secondary 7-12 English teacher, working in a variety of public and private school districts across the metro area. In addition to this experience, a temporary, 3 year relocation to Central Switzerland in 2008 provided Crystal the opportunity to teach at the International School of Lucerne and Zug, as well as serve as Headmaster for the (PreK-3) Beehive International School, located in Waterswil, Switzerland.Crystal lives in Saint Paul with her husband, 20 year old daughter, and 13 year old son. She holds a Masters of Education in English with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota, and Bachelors of Science degrees in Secondary Education English from Saint Cloud State University.
