Emerge Magazine is an award-winning print and digital publication produced by the graduating Media Studies class at the University of Guelph-Humber. During my time at Emerge, I was a part of the Digital Media team. We created and developed a customized WordPress theme for the site, designed custom layouts for each article, as well as producing creative assets (gifs and videos) for each story in order to create an engaging and immersive storytelling experience.The 2014 edition of Emerge Magazine would go on to win several awards, including 2nd place at the Columbia Scholastic Press Award for Best Online Website, 7 Pinnacle Awards, and 2 Associate Collegiate Press Awards.
