• Responsible for leading the strategic vision, leadership, daily operations, program management, community engagement, events and marketing, and communication while providing daily leadership to 5 direct reports.• Managed the Carolina Union organization and operation of the 153,000 square foot Frank Porter Graham Student Union Building while delivering budget management and financial oversight for a $4.6M budget including capital maintenance fund, sales taxes payable and investment fund management for student and service enterprises.• Delivered performance management and professional development for 53 full time and 160 student employees.• Led programmatic, operational and budget oversight for multiple programs including Facilities Management, Student Life, Student Government, over 800 Student Organizations, Communications, and Marketing.• With a focus on social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion, enhanced learning environments through programming, program assessment and review.• In collaboration with engineering, construction, planning, design and operations stakeholders, directed effective facilities management, renovations and construction projects while coordinating schedules and space allocation.o Managed the Union Auditorium construction serving as a key decision maker leading $1.5M renovation plans.o Oversaw $150K updates to central lounge areas.o Partnered with stakeholders to build an inclusive community through social, cultural and educational programs for 4K students while sponsoring approximately 250 events for over 40K attendees.• Led planning efforts for major campus events with up to 25,000 attendees, while ensuring streamlined operations and success.• Established operating policies and procedures consistent with university policies, state and federal laws.• Led program review and assessment leading to a feasibility study of long-term viability. The study ultimately resulted in the decision to build a 292,780 sq ft. facility.
