The vast majority of people who enter the profession of veterinary medicine are fueled by a tremendous passion to improve the lives of animals.Along the professional journey, many veterinary professionals encounter extremely challenging realities of the profession such as high student loan debt; poor work/life balance; understaffing; difficult client interactions; and economic euthanasia, just to name a few. Disconnected from their original sense of purpose, many start to feel disenchanted, burned out, and ready to leave the profession altogether. Founder, Crystal Stokes, experienced this personally during her undergraduate years as a pre-vet student and overnight/ER veterinary technician. As a licensed psychotherapist, she is also painfully aware of the professional hardships that can drive anxiety, depression, substance use, and even suicide. Full Circle Lab works directly with veterinary practices and individual professionals to address the challenges that can lead to burnout and turnover. We aim to bring veterinary professionals full circle, back to the passion for improving the lives of animals while caring for their own lives too.
