As part of the executive staff structure reporting to the board my role was directing a department with monthly turnovers upwards of £100,000 as if an independent business.I had full accountability for P&L, Marketing, Sales and Account managing (Blue chip companies) as well as managing H&S and HR for a team of estimators/fitter and administrators.

As part of the depots senior management team, my role was to direct and develop a team of 3 duty managers to manage an operation of 100 delivery personnel, 10 warehouse operatives and 6 team leaders, to ensure all departments are performing efficiently, safely and professionally to achieve over 5000 orders per week (£500K)I also completed projects for internal and external managers, reporting findings to head of stream and director level.I managed a fleet of custom built Mercedes sprinters (fleet value £1.4m) and developed from scratch of a health and safety pack. Created, monitor and complete risk assessments, permit to work systems and emergency evacuation procedures. Introduced a H&S forum to complete workplace inspections, including weekly checks of the safety equipment, and regular meetings to analyse requirements to achieve successful audits.I also deputised as Operations Manager in periods of Holiday, reporting directly to Head of Stream and taking overall responsibility for the site and all staff members.

In association with Store Manager I assited managing the operations of a medium sized retail outlet (£60-75K per week) in a busy town centre.Motivating, leading and developing a store team of 15 cashiers to provide excellent customer service, ensuring company name and brand integrity.I was responsible for sales maximization, forecasting future sales (seasonal, local events), ordering all fresh/frozen and ambient lines to suit without heavy surplus.Responsible for cost control, employing stock control audits with successful results (less than 3% discrepancies). Due-diligence of stock life, stock rotation and compliance with good food storage for both chilled and frozen lines.Key holder and responsible for banking.

Helphire (now Auxillis) helps motorists involved in non fault vehicle accidents.Working with the UK's top insurance companies providing replacement vehicles after accidents ensuring innocent parties stay mobile.I was liaising with a customer call centre to provide customers with a ‘like for like’ replacement vehicle within 4 hours of receiving call.Maximising fleet utilisation by sourcing appropriate vehicle throughout extended branch network. Sub contracting vehicle hire to third parties if requirement not fulfilled in-house, replacing with own fleet once available.I was responsible for the day to day coordination of all vehicle deliveries and collections.Managinging the ongoing maintenance and compliance for a fleet of 300 vehicles (various manufacturers). Organising repairs of damaged vehicles (bodywork / mechanical). Working to KPI’s (Fleet and Hire’s)General office management, computer system administration, and staff training.
