Currently, I work as a Merchandising Service Associate at Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse in the Atlanta area. My work includes resetting product displays, moving store merchandise to various areas of the store, organizing, following store planograms to the smallest detail, and moving steel beams and shelves that hold product, all while providing customer service when needed. Besides merchandising experience, I also have previous experience in sales (especially with the home décor and paint specialties), head cashiering, and cashiering for Lowe’s. Other than my experience at Lowe's, my school background and experiences with organizations/companies have helped me learn to utilize time more effectively, focus on what is important for current and future situations, think more quickly on my feet, and work better with the people around me. Throughout my educational career, I have received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia, a master’s degree in school counseling from Georgia Southern University, as well as a trades degree in carpentry from Penn Foster College. School has taught me the value of many important aspects in life, such as time management, patience, diligence, and team work to name a few. Besides school and work, I also have been active in many organizations in the past and present that have helped shape me to be who I am today. I started playing clarinet from my sixth grade year, in 2000, and have continued playing through high school and college, going as far as playing in the University of Georgia's Redcoat Marching Band (and go back yearly to perform at the homecoming game with the alumni band). Even now, I perform in several community music groups, adding marching bass drum and concert percussion to my ever-growing musical instrument knowledge base.
