Charlotte Seifen Ameringer is a professionally trained paintings conservator and museum professional with over 25 years of experience. She has worked at a number of large museums including the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and the High Museum of Art prior to joining the Portland Art Museum in 2022. Charlotte is a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation. Charlotte is strongly committed to advocating for the conservation profession and is deeply invested in the work of sharing, caring for, and keeping cultural heritage artifacts available for future generations. She firmly believes that art has the power to change lives.Charlotte has served as a grant reviewer for IMLS and the “Save America’s Treasures” program and has served in an advisory capacity for a number of arts-related organizations.
