Provide initial assessment and safe care to stabilize patients in a 60-bed Trauma I, and Stroke and STEMI comprehensive medical center. • Precept new hires during their 12-16 week orientation, educate staff on new equipment and programs, perform the charge role position and a member of the safety committee and unit council.• Assist in the care of multiple traumas, cardiac arrests, stroke codes, sexual assaults, and conscioussedations.• Resuscitate and stabilize patients, manage IV drips and titration, Art Line, CVP and Swan-Ganztransducer lines, ventilators, wound care, medications and other appropriate nursing services.• Independently maintain safe and effective care to patients with different acuity levels in a timerestricted and demanding environment• Constantly communicated and collaborated with physicians and other healthcare professionals toensure optimal care was given to patients in a timely manner.
