Studied the fundamental excited state optical properties of two families of semiconductor nanocrystals. One project focused on chemical controls for photo-induced magnetism and used single particle microscopy to demonstrate magnetic ordering. Investigated the design of transition metal doped nanocrystal containing luminescent solar concentrators (waveguides) for solar energy harvesting.
