Caleb Mason Email and Phone Number
Caleb is a research professional with many years of experience confronting biomedical questions from a molecular and translational approach. In particular, he has focused on the biological properties of infectious diseases that allow them to overcome the physical barriers of both humans and animals. He currently utilizes recombinant DNA technology to bioengineer microorgansims to produce polymers of interest in the 'plastics' industry, such as fully biodegradable straws. He lives passionately at the interface of science and the general population and is an advocate for increased communication between these two ecosystems. Other passions include teaching/mentoring young minds to increase problem solving capabilities and using modern technology to increase knowledge, understanding, and the quality of life.
