Chris NORMAN is currently active in Corporate Finance, Agribusiness, Real Estate, Mineral and Infrastructure Development in Uganda and Sub Saharan Africa. He recently piloted the successful sale of HMH Rainbow (now HMH Kuku) to Africa Poultry Development Limited, a subsidiary of Seabord, an SEC quoted business active in agricultural commodities around the world. He helped build HMH Kuku, starting from scratch in 2012, to become the market leading chicken producer in Uganda in 2024.When he retired from Deloitte France in 2012 he decided to concentrate on working with companies in Sub Saharan Africa. Most of his work since 2012 has been in Uganda, where he was born. He has helped two SME's raise capital and sits on the board of one. He has helped major French companies identify and develop several large, ongoing opportunities (> $100 million) in the areas of Construction, Real Estate and Communications.He has over thirty years of line management experience in small and large companies, and spent 12 years as IT Consulting and Enterprise Risk Management Partner for the Industry and Services Sector at Deloitte France. Starting from scratch, he built a team of over 100 high performance auditors and consultants, generating over € 20 million turnover at 53% Gross Margin.While with Deloitte, he led major projects including IT and ERP enabled business transformation, Supply Chain Management, Internal Control and Compliance Systems, Financial and Operational Forecasting, Post Merger Integration, Internal Audit and Risk Management, IT Strategy and Applications Architecture development, across a broad range of industries. Signature clients included Airbus, Air France/KLM, Alstom, Accor, Auchan, AXA, BASF, Bel, Carrefour, COGEMA, Danone, EDF, Johnson & Johnson, IBM, L'Oreal, Merial, Oracle, PSA (Peugeot & Citroën), Sanofi, SAP, Renault/Nissan, Total, SFR, Suez, Vinci and Vivendi.Chris grew up in Africa. He has spent over fourty years in Europe, of which thirty years have been spent in France. For the five years before COVID, he spent 50% of his time in France and 50% in Uganda and built an excellent network in Uganda.He was recently awarded the Legion d'Honneur (France), the Queen's Commendation for Bravery (UK) and the Medaille Civique de Prémière Classe (Belgium) for his role in helping subdue a terrorist on the Thalys high speed train in August 2015. He featured in the film "The 15:17 to Paris" directed by Clint Eastwood, playing himself.
