It was created for the following purposes:- To promote and market the concept and utility of land bank authorities to local governments, citizens and other stakeholders in the State of Georgia.- To educate interested local governments, citizens and other stakeholders in Georgia regarding the establishment and operation of land bank authorities in their respective communities.- To foster and promote the sharing of information amongst land bank authorities in Georgia and throughout the nation.- To provide technical assistance to land bank authorities in Georgia - To provide and support governmental relations to benefit and foster the mission of land bank authorities in Georgia.Led the statewide effort that resulted in passage of new legislation (SB284 or Georgia Land Bank Act) to reform and modernize the operations and capabilities of land banks in the State of Georgia during the 2012 Georgia Legislative Session. The new Georgia Land Bank Act became law in July 2012.Provide technical assistance throughout the State of Georgia to government leaders and community leaders via workshops, presentations, and strategic consulting to assist with optimizing creation and operations. Ten new land banks established in State of Georgia during tenure.

The Atlanta Land Trust is focused on the development and operation of permanently affordable housing along the Atlanta BeltLine and other targeted neighborhoods. The affordable housing will provide homeownership and rental opportunities for low and moderate income residents and families and will be based on the community land trust (CLT) model that emphasizes shared equity, permanent affordability and active stewardship.Led the strategic realignment and rebranding of the organization. Also led launch, via hiring of staff and receipt of core operational funds, into active production of units with goal of becoming the largest urban based community land trust in the US with over 500 units.

Nominated to Board via Mayor of City of Atlanta. Responsible for oversight of operations and staff, approval of transactions and establishing strategic direction for the Land Bank Authority. The Land Bank, established in 1990, operates via an interlocal agreement with the City of Atlanta and Fulton County. Its broad powers include the ability to acquire, "bank", and dispose of property as well as to extinguish delinquent taxes. Some of the goals of the Land Bank include the return on non-revenue or non-tax producing residential and/or commercial properties back to an active status on the tax rolls. An emphasis is placed on facilitating the creation of affordable housing in Atlanta and Fulton County. Current initiatives include banking property for non-profit developers and governments, assisting with the deployment of Neighborhood Stabilization (NSP) Funds, assisting with deployment of Title XX funds granted to Atlanta, and participating in the Beltline Project.Beginning in 2008, led organization to begin significant operational and programmatic restructuring of agency. With assistance of Board and management consultants, initiated 15 critical operational changes to enhance effectiveness of organization. Additionally, commenced 3 additional programmatic initiatives for LBA.

Corporate Banking (1997 - 1998) - Responsible for relationships with domestic and multinational Fortune 1000 corporations located in Southeast. Facilities arranged included lines of credit, term loans, commercial paper backup, and synthetic leases. Facilities used for general corporate purposes, mergers and acquisitions, asset securitization, recapitalizations, and refinancing. Responsible for financial and business analysis, due diligence, marketing, and structuring of transactions. Public Finance (1995 - 1998) - Responsibility for business development and management of $600 million portfolio consisting of 18 relationships and spanning 15 states. Significant portfolio exposure to healthcare. Increased gross exposure from $350 million to $600 million. Increased gross revenues from $900,000 to $1.3 million. Transactions included lines of credit, letters of credit, standby bond purchase agreements, private placement bond purchases, cross-over refunded debt and catastrophe backup.

Government Division (1995) - Improved credit underwriting standards, processes and credit file documentation for $420 million division portfolio consisting of Georgia cities, counties, authorities and government related entities.Atlanta Corporate Division (1993 - 1994) - Managed quality of portfolio of middle to large corporate customers based in Atlanta. Ranged from private, leveraged entities to public investment grade entities. Monitored and analyzed financial performance, management, business strategy, industry and operations of clients. Included discounted cash flow valuation analysis. Co-created cash flow projection model that was used by officers throughout Division for modeling and valuation analysis. Taught seminars to lending officers on cash flow analysis and Porter's competitive analysis.
