My client, as a public sector body, has limited experience of consolidation and the required level of detail.My role was to provide accounting support to guide my client through the differences between the accounting frameworks followed by group bodies (UK gaap SORP and IFRS). I was also ressponsible for providing process improvements to the team; which included designing the external consoldiation return submitted by all academies.

I am focused on the legacy Co-op Bank portion of the bank's IFRS7 and Pillar 3 disclosures.I have sole responsibility for preparing the legacy Bank's risk management disclosure notes and mapping these to the legacy Bank's Pillar 3 market disclosures. As well as preparing the disclosures I am also tasked with producing full procedures documentation and process improvement.

Senior audit manager responsible for my own client portfolio (managing the audits, building relationships, providing advice etc.) and running the audit department of approx. 20 (supervising the students, managing the staff planner, training etc.).

Oversaw all external reporting for the PE-backed group; including building and maintaining an Excel-based consolidation model which could consolidate at any level, and which could also convert the UK GAAP numbers to IFRS gaap.

Responsible for completing the conversion from UK GAAP to IFRS for the bank. Completed gap analysis between the gaaps and designed revised processes to allow for IFRS-compliant accounting. Built various models to generate the required IAS39 accounting for the bank's mortgage portfolio. Designed, built and maintained an Excel-based consolidation engine which also converted the UK GAAP numbers into IFRS. Passed the revised processes and models into the business as usual team.

Provided advice and guidance to the society as to the correct approach to adopt IAS39 and IAS32 regarding the society's mortgage book. Helped devise a provisioning strategy for the society.

I worked on the bank's IFRS conversion with a special focus on financial instruments IAS32 and IAS39 as was. Although I also advised on the impact and solutions for all standards.

Audit manager responsible for managing the SPV/SPE department to improve audit rigour, commerciality of the audit trainees and improve business relationships of the firm. Work included statutory audit and SPV launch work such as drafting reporting accountant report and managing due diligence work for SPV's acquired assets.

Managed audits for niche mortgage lenders (non-deposit taking businesses and sub-prime lenders). Also managed launch work as reporting accountants for mu audit clients as part of their residential mortgage-backed securitisations. This work included reviewing legal documentation, designing and managing the due diligence work on the mortgage portfolios, liaising with all professional advisers (banks and solicitors) and reporting to the client and reporting partner. I became the preferred supplier for my clients and worked on numerous repeat launches.
