With a passion for technology, I started my education with a focus on IT support. Ultimately, I ended up graduating with an English degree, which landed me a great job in the Hospitality Industry. I quickly discovered a passion for food, beverage, and hospitality and pursued a career in the field. In the Hospitality field I worked my way in to management, while pursuing certifications with the Court of Master Sommeliers. I learned a lot in my time in restaurant management. I developed my talents in leadership, communication, business management, and many many other skills. In the short span of three years (2015, 2016, 2017) I earned four different Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence for two different concepts I ran. I designed many different beverage programs, and opened a wide array of restaurants. I was lucky enough to work alongside, and manage, a lot of people from vastly different walks of life along the way. Currently I am moving back in to the world of tech, back to where my initial interest lies. I have spent the last months working on new, and re-learning my old certifications. I am pursuing education focused on software development and engineering. I plan to leverage everything I have learned and break in to the world of software development. My personal interest is in Machine Learning, but I enjoy all aspects of the field. To further my education I am attending the Oregon State University's Post-Baccalaureate program for Computer Science. I am starting my final quarter with my graduation date set for 12/2021. After OSU I plan to work full time while completing a M.S in Computer Science.
