The idea for the Global Opportunities (GO) Center emerged in 2012 from an Opportunity Greensboro workgroup focused on Global Entrepreneurship. From 2013 - 2015, Boundless Impact served as a catalyst for the GO Center through building support and awareness through annual Global Opportunities Summits. The vision, to establish a center for global entrepreneurship that would leverage existing local resources, gained momentum through the GO Center’s first place prize of $500,000 at the Strong Cities, Strong Communities (SC2) Economic Development Challenge.The GO Center launched in January 2016 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with a mission to be a premiere center in the US that creatively brings together commerce, education and government to expand global opportunities for economic and community development.
