I am host and event producer for the Museum 's Daily Planet Theater, a one-of-a-kind 3-story multimedia theater with 42 foot-tall digital projection and sound. My job is to answer two questions for museum visitors: "What's happening now in science?" and "Why should I care?" I coordinate and deliver interactive presentations on hot topics in science and host scientists and STEM professionals on stage and online through virtual events to talk about their work and interface with the public. I also liaison with other state agencies, universities, and organizations to coordinate programming, cross-promote, and host events.I host and co-coordinate the Science Cafe, bringing scientists to the (smaller) cafe stage for intimate conversations with guests about a current topic in science. Most importantly, we spend more time in audience Q&A than in speaker presentation so that the audience can have intimate conversations with scientists.I developed a strong on-camera personality for virtual events and live media opportunities. I am a routine guest on local television and radio stations to promote Museum events, perform science demonstrations, and exhibit live animals.As social media specialist, I create and post content for the Museum's social media channels.
