I was elected as the President of the Chi-Zeta Chapter at the University of Illinois in November of 2018. My duty is to lead an organization of 100+ brothers and to incorporate our Seven Core Values into our operations and lifestyle in order to enhance our reputation. I serve as the chairman of our weekly all-chapter business meetings, our weekly Executive Committee meetings, and our bi-weekly Cabinet meetings. I am responsible for any and all persons affiliated with our chapter and I work to ensure that our operations are safe and reflect our chapter's values. I also serve as the chapter liaison for the University. I meet with the Greek Adviser of the University every month and serve as the main point of contact between our chapter and the campus community.

I facilitate workshops for the incoming students and a separate one oriented towards the members of the Greek community. These workshops focus on campus safety and awareness. The topics discussed include, but are not limited to, Alcohol and Drugs, Sexual Assault, Consent, Bystander Intervention, Gender Roles and Advocacy Services. My job is to communicate these topics and to discuss proactive ways to tackle campus safety at the root.

As a host, I was responsible for developing and executing an efficient floor plan for each night of service. I was also responsible for delegating the duties of the host to the other 3 that worked alongside me. These duties included bussing tables, answering the phone, and seating customers. I was an exemplar host and was given the responsibility of training the incoming new workers. As a host I was awarded employee of the month.After two years I was promoted to the position of Waiter in which I was in charge of customer service and satisfaction. I served as the main point of communication between the customer and the restaurant and was responsible for their enjoyment. Some nights I would have to manage up to 8 tables at once while also maintaining exceptional service. I was also given the opportunity to wait on large parties of 30-40 guests by myself and it was up to me to satisfy their needs.

Woodstock, Il

I was given the opportunity my senior year of high school to design and develop a project to be implemented in our community. I chose to work with the Transportation Commission of Woodstock on designing an Eco-Friendly pathway. This pathway would connect a neighborhood to the adjacent elementary school, and to the rest of the city. During this process, I did research on the land that included surveying, soil and erosion tests, and environmental impact statements. I had to make sure my project was compliant with all municipal, state, and federal guidelines for construction. I also worked with numerous advisers on this project including the McHenry County Land Conservancy and the Superintendent of Schools for District 200. After my project was designed, I took it a step further and worked with the Superintendent to implement an educational program at the elementary level that focused on the environment in a hands on way that wasn't to overwhelming. After it was all said and done, I presented it at a City Board meeting and received a letter of recommendation from the City of Woodstock for my efforts.
