CurrentResponsible for the rights and permissions programs for ~12 higher education titles annually, ensuring the necessary licensing of all third party material is completed on time and in compliance with Norton's permissions policies;Analyze manuscripts to ascertain third party material for permission;Maintain and develop national and international contacts with stock houses, libraries, government agencies, and image and media producers;Communicate with authors, editors, designers, artists and vendors to negotiate agreement contract terms, fees, and rights granted;Ensure that budgets and schedules are met, create purchase orders, and process invoices throughout the publishing cycle;Coordinate with production and editorial teams while troubleshooting difficult sources and researching alternative asset options;Monitor permissions progress and provide bi-weekly status reports to Noron's internal project teams;Ensure proper documentation of assets across Norton proprietary software and in accordance with U.S. Copyright Law, checking with Norton's legal council if there are any ambiguities.
