Senior Engineering Manager with an extensive background and a proven track record of leading and managing multiple teams in complex and challenging working environments. Started as a Project Manager in the Construction Industry on 2007, while was graduating in Civil Engineering at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Decided then to upscale his knowledge basis and expand his technical scope of applicability, by acquiring and developing proper software foundations. Went back to University in 2014 and did an IT degree at Universidade do Minho. Began as a Software Developer in 2017, and quickly moved to a Consultancy position, working closer to clients and key stakeholders, this time, as an IT Project Manager.Throughout this professional re-qualification process, a 5 years international tourism experience in an Australian company (UK based) shaped the attitude towards a more strategic customer-centric approach and 9+ years of experience lecturing (physical and online classes) significantly improved communication skills.In April 2020, embraced a new challenge as a Software Engineering Manager, leading 2 multicultural, multilocation and multidisciplinary Engineering squads (up to 17 people).In January 2023, began a new journey as a Senior Engineering Manager. Currently, leads a team of 7 Engineering Managers, and is accountable for 7 Engineering squads spread across a few key business locations, such as Porto, Dublin and Leeds (up to 50 people).Passionate about people and processes, extremely motivated and committed to deliver the highest standards.
