This relentless curiosity led me to study chemistry, biochemistry and physics as a student at Colorado State University, and eventually to my work as a lab technician in both the chemical and food manufacturing sectors. While working in these roles, I began to explore programming as a means to solve small, day to day problems that I routinely encountered in the hope that I would eventually gain the skills needed to tackle larger, more meaningful problems. Instead, I found a deep passion for software development, an outlet for my endless curiosity, and a new career path. Soon after, I enrolled in Turing School of Software and Design, where I successfully completed their accredited Back End Engineering program.Now, I have the skills necessary to learn complex concepts quickly and efficiently, experience building web applications as part of a remote team, and a deep appreciation for the power that empathetically designed software has to affect change in the world. As a passionate, relentlessly curious software developer, I am hoping to join a high performing, good-natured team of diverse individuals that share my love of writing elegant, maintainable code and working to make a positive impact on others.
