Support the operational management of HHS and ESF-8 response assets. Contribute to interagency and intra-agency all-hazard emergency and incident-specific planning while supporting the SNS Emergency Operations Center roles as a Watch Officer Specialist. Normal duties of Operations Staff require National doctrine during responses to events that lead to and contribute to changes that SNS implements in its daily tasks. Evaluate and create new concepts through research to develop creative new processes to support disaster response.Implement and maintain Continuity of Operations (COOP), Devolution and Reconstitution Plans, alternate sites, cadre/team assignments, emergency contact data, and access to applicable vital agency records. Prepares reports, written communication, and briefings for leadership, ESF-8 partners, HHS resources. These tasks are routinely carried out by the Mission Support Team to guarantee that SNS can respond to any disaster. Provide support for the coordination, activation, deployment and demobilization of the response team and specialty teams, personnel, and assets to the incident location.Maintain emergency contact data. Use access to applicable vital agency records to create realistic training and functionally graded drills. Apply systems thinking techniques to improve practice and build the capacity of organizations, programs, plans, networks, and people in complex environments. Regularly participate in support, capture comments from hot washes, after-action reviews, and corrective action activities following response operations and exercises to manage future responses more effectively. I have advised others in the performance of emergency management functions during a domestic or international public health emergency or event (e.g., developed Incident Action Plans, recommended proposed tactics for coordinating response activities).

Manage a battalion Emergency Operations Center (EOC) with 150 communication assemblages, deployed to The Republic of South Korea. Battalion Non-Commissioned Officer for the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear operations (CBRN). Primary advisor to the commander on all aspects of program planning, development, and execution. Provide support for the coordination, activation, deployment and demobilization.Supervise and manage a consolidated office consisting of 11 staff supporting a 100 personnel operation. Utilized the internet and intranet computer systems to manage records for 150 personnel dispersed worldwide. Managed the battalion munitions program including the safe issue and turn-in of Ammunition Basic Load.Responded and deployed to the aftermath of a disaster or public health emergency. Operated in a field based, tent environment that cared for sick, injured, dying, or deceased persons. Successfully performed while working in a high-stressed, high security environment void of vital resources. Supervised a 25-person Hazardous Response Team including hazmat technicians, and decontamination teams during suspected nuclear, biological, chemical, and radiological events. Maintained in-depth knowledge of hazardous material handling procedures, specializing in chemical and hazardous materials operations.Manage information flow and communicate critical data timely and accurately. Scheduled and prepared for meetings and maintained the departmental daily calendar utilizing Microsoft Outlook. Tracked and maintained status of corrective action requests related to customer complaints. Managed the routing, recording, monitoring, expediting of office checks and supplier data. Reviewed correspondence prior to release, submission for approval and signature, or other disposition. Participates in discussions involving the findings and recommendations of new concepts and practices with potential application to the operations.
