We are driving the Digital Agenda for Governments across Southern Africa. In a world where distance has become a norm and cash dominates, there is a greater need for digitization now than ever, especially for the public sector where processes remain generally manual and less efficient in most countries. With increased buy in towards digitization from governments, I am driving a smart strategy to fast track the shift towards e-governments in the region. Collaborating with the governments & our expert product and solutioning teams I lead the structuring and core-creation of innovative solutions that are accelerating the digital transformation of our public sector partners. We are leveraging our acquiring, issuing and commerce expertise to deliver sustainable commercial solutions for governments. As a global partner with local presence, we thrive on our experiences across the world and we are committed to improving the lives of citizens and government service delivery through partnerships and where necessary directly with governments. We are driving Revenue Collections, Disbursements, Transit, Postal Services and more through deepening of eCommerce, Issuing, Acceptance and Cyber Security in partnership with regulators, SoEs, Gov Agencies and fintechs! Africa deserves the best and the journey starts now.

Vp H&D Sadc, Strategic Growth Bu

Purchase, Ny, Us

I was responsible for driving the BoP sector strategy across Southern Africa. I successfully engaged and partnered with Development Agencies, Governments, NGOs, Private Sector, Telcos and Banks to facilitate access to basic services (Financial Inclusion, Agriculture, Education and Health) for millions of marginalized people in the region. This created unique opportunities for Mastercard to access the billions in cash flows that terminate in these under served communities. Through relentless collaboration with internal and external partner teams we successfully pioneered various solutions for marginalized communities in Southern Africa. With depressingly low banking penetration rates and mobile money limited by network coverage in most rural communities on the continent, it is critical that organizations like MC exploit their tech capabilities to address 80% of the population that that remain excluded if there is going to be any meaningful impact on communities. I also provided thought leadership on strategic & digital initiatives covering Financial Inclusion, Digitizing Education, Agriculture and Health across 14 Markets in Southern Africa. It was an honor to be in a role that changed communities and improved lives of millions of people' in the region.
