Hello. When speaking at a conference, I was once introduced as “An internationally recognized technology leader and driver of business growth, sales, innovation and transformation within global organizations, he brings a powerful blend of skills and proven capabilities to enable companies to drive forward with vision and deliver on the requirements of key stakeholders.”Whilst being a bit of a word-salad, I’ll take it 😊What I would say is that I help people connect, grow and deliver on the goals they set. Over the years I have built a network of experts across the globe, as well as consulting with several security organizations including the UK Security Services, the National Hi-Tec Crime Unit, and the FBI. This work has led to several high profile arrests, including one of Europe’s most wanted fugitives and in 2017 one of my investigations was made into a film. I believe that connections enable us all to deliver more – be it in sales, transformation projects or high-growth start-ups.In 2010 I was appointed by the First Minister of Wales to the Scientific Advisory Council of Wales, advising the Chief Scientific Advisor for Wales on matters of strategy and policy. It was an interesting experience and one that taught me to learn the art of multiple-translation, being able to speak with, and between, academics, deeply technical people, sales teams and board members and government ministers. I live in Pembrokeshire with my family, our Golden Retriever, and enough networking kit to start up at least another 5 internet companies. I am still a technical person at heart and probably will never give up “configuring things” – be they servers, routers or just things that look like they need optimizing. In 2020 I left the my job in Munich as Global Head of Cyber Security for Siemens to be closer to my family during the global pandemic and started Percent Edge, which brings the science of Nutrigenetics to people looking to take the guesswork out of getting fit & healthy. My son has Asperger’s Syndrome, and our family unit was particularly vulnerable during COVID, so we made the decision to “hunker-down” together. Now, in 2024, with our family moved into our new home in Wales, I am looking for a new challenge that combines business development, innovation, technology, growth, cyber security and people development with ambitious challenges.I would love to discuss your challenges with you, and how I could be part of the solution – so feel free to contact me at simon@percent-edge.com and let’s start a conversation….

FounderPercent Edge May 2020 - PresentOxfordshire, England, United KingdomHaving left Germany due to the global pandemic, I returned home to Oxfordshire and started Percent-Edge. Its mission is simple – to combine Science, Nutrition and Mindfulness and deliver solutions to help people become the best versions of themselves, and to stay healthy.Nutrigenetics is the science of matching each person’s DNA to the correct food choices, maximising each unique individual’s ability to absorb vitamins and minerals differently. If you eat an apple, then you will take in a different amount of nutrition than someone else who east the same apple. Matching people’s DNA to over 1,000 foods and combining this with a personalised nutrition plan, exercise and mindfulness courses, I have helped thousands of people achieve better health during a time when health has been a priority for many people.Percent-Edge now runs as a fully autonomous service, delivered through a network of fully trained mentors. It requires only small amounts of maintenance and development, and to achieve this I spent 18 months learning and becoming an expert on web development, funnel marketing and design as well as enjoying the satisfaction of being a small business owner again.
