Currently on sabbatical after 15 years of leading change in librarianship while in the roles of University Librarian at York University, Chair of the Ontario Council of University Libraries and President of the Ontario Library Association. As well actively participated on committees of the Association of Research Libraries including their Membership Committee, Assessment Committee and the Task Force on Services to Patrons with Print Disabilities. Promoted online publication and open access to research through activities on the Public Knowledge Project Membership Committee, the Canadiana.org Board and the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition Steering Committee. My interest in leadership and change management have resulted in enrolment in the Canadian Board Diversity Council's Level 1 program for people interested in participating on a board of directors. Current Board activity returns me to my roots in science as I serve as a member of the Risk Management Committee for the Bruce Trail Conservancy.
