- Engaged with the general public through creating events which share MSF's key advocacy messages and our "temoinage" (our firsthand witness of what we see in the field) to educate the general public on who we are, our work, and critical issues faced by the people living in humanitarian emergencies all over the world.- Designed promotional strategies and promotional materials to ensure high levels of attendance and public engagement for events.- Ensured an over 90% average attendance rate for events in fall 2019.- Managed a budget of over 25 000 CAD during 2019 and 2020.- Took initiative to develop a sophisticated strategy to gain new data collection, analytics and fundraising leads.- Acted as a spokesperson for MSF when moderating events with over 100 people in attendance, in both English and in French. - Appeared in two videos on thematic issues in English and French, and a promotional video for a global Missing Maps event.

These tasks included coordinating donor and diplomatic visits, attending UN and NGO coalition meetings, and ensuring our advocacy strategy was being carried out in an effective manner.

- Provided strategic communications support and capacity building to Oxfam-Québec partners working on women's economic empowerment projects and youth empowerment projects in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. - Empowered YWCA youth groups through facilitating workshops on communications, social media and grassroots advocacy to give them the necessary skills to campaign on their own behalf, concerning issues which affected them under the occupation.- Coordinated the promotional plan for the web documentary The Enclosure, which was covered by Al Jazeera (https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2017/7/3/film-gives-human-face-to-palestinian-bedouins-plight) and reached over 300 000 people on Facebook.

- Kept up-to date on breaking humanitarian news, researched situation and determined scope coverage and publication suitability. - Updated on the minute ReliefWeb content, which included monitoring over 4000 information sources; publishing suitable reports, press releases, infographics, and maps; employing CMS for metadata tagging and in-house editorial guidelines. - Selected front page stories and accompanying photographs. Wrote headlines and summaries viewed by over 500,000 unique visitors per month. - Coordinated with home-based editors around the globe, and teams in Bangkok and Nairobi on developing disasters and quality control.- General website maintenance: curating new sources, updating country and past disaster profiles, creating alert pages for developing or potential disasters.Extra projects:- Managed content for the video section and provided an online training to teams in Bangkok and Nairobi on how to cover the video section.- Provided customer service to support NGOs and UN agencies publishing jobs in the employment section. - Drafted 2 blogs for the website. - Created an image source database by contacting photography sections at UN agencies and NGO's to request permission to use their photos for our headline stories.- Represented ReliefWeb at the Humanitarian Response Network in Canada in an effort to develop new contacts and sources. • Monitored significant developments and jurisprudence at the International Criminal Court concerning victims' rights to remedy and reparations.• Refined my fluent written and oral communications skills through drafting articles for the Victims’ Rights Listserv and Legal Update, in both English and French.• Updated website content using WordPress and prepared SmartMail campaigns.

• Provided research and legal analysis to assist with the submission of a case to the National Contact Point office for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Canada, on human rights violations carried out by mining companies in Tibet.• This report was recently published and can be found at: http://www.tibet.ca/_static/NCP.CGIR.jan2014.pdf

• Demonstrated high-level organisational and administrative skills in planning two successful events: a private academic seminar and first annual Summer School. • Managed multiple tasks and worked under pressure to create documents for both events and liaise with service providers. • Communicated with participants and presenters to assist them with their queries and international travel arrangements in a timely and professional manner.

• Co-organised the 2011 National Forum on human rights and democratic development. Logistics included booking flights for participants, communicating with workshop facilitators, coordinating with service providers, submitting reimbursement forms and managing and updating the conference budget using Excel. • Developed excellent English written and verbal communication skills through drafting articles for the monthly Student Network newsletter and updating content on their website and Facebook page.

• Supported a women’s Shea butter cooperative in Mali in overcoming barriers to in international trade through providing and presenting research on international standards, and current practices in the industry. • Prepared members of the cooperative to take part in a global shea butter conference, through developing bilingual (English/French) communications tools, samples and marketing strategies.• Acquired greater knowledge and experience with women’s rights in rural West Africa.• Remained flexible and adaptable when dealing with unforeseen logistical challenges in the field.• Provided training on the rules and regulations of exportation to Canada.

• Co-designed the “Campaign for the Survival of Indigenous Peoples at Risk of Extinction in Colombia,” which comprised of a resource website, a short awareness video, a post card campaign, fact sheets, articles, a travelling photo exhibition and artist talks with the photographer. • Provided research and wrote reports relating to Student Network activities for future planning and programming, in 4 countries, including women’s rights in Burma and Zimbabwe. • Contributed articles to the monthly Student Network newsletter, and updated the content on their website and Facebook page.

• Managed a Francophone resource sharing website on Social Economies and Sustainable Livelihoods, by re-evaluating tools on the website, providing trainings on how to use the site, developing new initiatives, updating content and website design.• Collaborated with a women’s shea butter cooperative situated in Mali, COPROKAZAN, to establish commercial links with businesses in Quebec, through research on the industry, the creation of bilingual promotional and information documents, meetings with businesses, event planning and budget management.

• Gained experience working in a post-conflict society, while offering administrative support to the Northern Uganda Malaria AIDS and Tuberculosis program. • Co-organised a successful Sports Gala, provided confidential HIV/AIDS testing, awareness workshops and counselling to over 300 people in the community.

• Provided textual analysis for over 60 human rights documents on gender and women’s rights to develop an annotated bibliography. • Contributed administrative support: filing, photocopying, data management and translation of human rights training proceedings from French to English.

• Managed a promotional team that participated in many city events 
to inform the public about CBC programming and events. • Responsibilities included: supervision of staff, formulating team schedules, submitting timesheets, 
compiling weekly festival reports, and providing budget management.
