As Executive Director of Challenge Discovery Projects, I leverage decades of experience as an educator, leader, and mentor to support and strengthen social and emotional wellness programming for youth and their families. I have a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Columbia University, Teachers College, where I specialized in Curriculum and Teaching with a concentration in early childhood education, a Master's in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, both from Virginia Commonwealth University. My passion is to support schools in creating inclusive and equitable learning environments for young learners that foster academic excellence, social-emotional well-being, and cultural competence. I have extensive knowledge and skills in teacher mentoring, educational leadership, diversity education, and curriculum development. I have also published several articles on these topics, and I hold certifications in school management, equity facilitation, and personality assessment. I enjoy collaborating with school leaders, teachers, students, and families, and sharing best practices and innovative solutions.
