Misamis Oriental is a province in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines. It is a major agricultural producer, with crops such as rice, corn, and coconuts. It is also home to a number of industries, including manufacturing and tourism.I was part of the Economic and Investments Division of the Provincial Planning and Development Office. Notable tasks and achievements:• Drafted the Local Investments and Incentives Code (LIIC), which is a document that articulates the local government investment policies and programs, Investments Priority Areas (IPAs), and local incentives (fiscal or non-fiscal) available to domestic and foreign investors of the province. This involved working closely with different stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.• Established an aggressive, systematic, and coordinated marketing and promotion campaign to position Misamis Oriental as a leading investment destination in the Philippines. I created high-quality marketing materials, such as brochures, promotional videos, and presentations, and attended relevant business expos and events to promote Misamis Oriental to potential investors. I also built relationships with key decision-makers in the investment community including the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Trade and Industry Region X.• Headed the updating of the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP), which contains the long-term vision of the province and identifies the development goals, strategies, objectives/targets, and their corresponding projects and activities.
