Focused on improving performance, quality and EBITDA.Focused on expanding day-to-day operations to provide critical support and assistance to 2m+ customers per year, often in difficult and challenging conditions, and on a 24/7/365 basis.Defined and executed a strategy to generate new revenue and staff utilisation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, successfully delivering £8m of new free cash when it mattered most. Leadership, management and motivation of 13 direct reports, with 1,500 staff and a portfolio of over 300+ independent supply contracts valued at £40m per annum. Key role in mentoring and developing teams. Responsible for supporting the international effort to defeat the Islamic State, leading a force of 160 military engineers in the development of an airbase in western Iraq, supporting and safeguarding c.4,700 soldiers and 50 aircraft as well as artillery assets and a hospital. ➤ Built a multi discipline team to deliver all aspects of a US$170M portfolio of projects & programmes.➤ Facilitated the deployment and operation of armoured battle groups of 600+ soldiers, able to operate anywhere in the world. Digitised asset management across the UK overseas estate.

Responsible for the management and delivery of contracts on behalf of the MOD, leading a team of 25 consulting engineers and project managers, and a contracted force of c.1500 people. ➤ Directed maintenance and development of the UK military estate in Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Somalia, and the UAE. ➤ Contributed to efforts to address the 2016/17 drought in Ethiopia and Somalia by providing specialist consultancy and leadership support to the UN and World Bank.

Responsible for directing global operations, plans and capability development in an organisation of 1,500 professionally qualified engineers and infrastructure delivery, consultancy and maintenance staff. ➤ Planned and directed contingency operations in support of the NATO summit in Wales, in response to the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone, and to limit the effect of flooding on the Somerset Levels. ➤ Directed routine operations in Afghanistan, across the Middle East and in East Africa.

Attended a course in Organisational Strategy and Leadership Integrity, crisis response, international affairs, and the analysis and defeat of an adversary.

Appointed to lead the teams of engineers in the specification, design, and pre-contact administration of electrical and mechanical works for projects ranging from a 15,000 seat stadium to an art gallery. ➤ Oversaw the delivery of design and consultancy work for many projects in the mining, health, retail, and public works sectors. Managed and engaged with senior stakeholders to gain buy-in.

Seconded as Building Services Manager on a Aus$500M hospital redevelopment, with full remit to plan, implement and successfully deliver major capital projects on time and within authorised budget.➤ Oversaw the procurement and installation of all building service works packages, interfacing with live hospital facilities and coordinating with emergency services.➤ Redesigned a medical refrigeration package and developed an interstate contractor to deliver it.

In earlier years, led teams of military engineers in the delivery of projects, and whilst fighting, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kenya, Canada, Poland, Cyprus, Germany, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and the UK. ➤ Promoted ot military commander, responsible for project management, organisational capability development, strategic and tactical planning, market risk analysis, and regulatory compliance.
