Managed and led 110 Sailors during decommissioning of the USS Albuquerque to remove submarine systems safely and securely for use on other Los Angeles Class submarines. Included the removal of the nuclear fuel and the reactor coolant for safe disposal at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Presided over the administration, training, manning, and dispersal of the entire crew upon crew release and rejuvenated the programatics involved with decommissiong submarines at PSNS as this had not been done in over 10 years. Compiled lessons learned and shared with other units (CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTIE and DALLAS) to streamline their processes for decommissioning.
