Provide technical support for FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure by employing test methods to investigate and remedy network anomalies in a 99.999% uptime environment. Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network problems within an operations center utilizing network management and monitoring tools. Efficiently use test methods to troubleshoot WAN/LAN technologies such as Ethernet, IP, Frame Relay, ATM, BGP, Circuit Emulation, and OSPF. Work with local exchange carriers, ILECs, IXCs, internal and external groups as needed to resolve network issues. Remotely guide onsite technicians and work with telecommunication partners to resolve network problems.

• Tier 3 support for network operations• Lead engineer responsible for gathering pre-sales data, planning, deploying and communicating a project to upgrade network infrastructure in a Level 2 Trauma Center with 514 beds and 12 WAN sites in anticipation of Wireless and VoIP upgrades.

• SME for power distribution supporting IT infrastructure• Completed the upgrade of core 6500 routers at 3 main customer sites while successfully designing and documenting Layer 1 functionality to over 170 access layer switches. All parts were identified, ordered, and organized within budget while successfully completing all tasks within strict time restraints.• Assisted in the preparation, and implementation of upgrading the wireless infrastructure from release 6.0 to 7.1 including 1,200+ APs, as well as the WCS and MSE systems• Facilitated the identification, organization, and configuration of 800+ network devices for monitoring in WhatsUp Gold.• Implemented new alerting format and process for team.
