The Workplace provides industry relevant education for students in year 9-11 which is high quality, based on partnerships and focussed on enterprise. It offers students a strong grounding in Maths, English, Science and Enterprise alongside quality provision in one of six vocational areas (Hairdressing & Barbering, Hospitality & Catering, Multi-trades construction, Automotive, Sports & Fitness and Arts & Creativity).Main Purpose of the Job:To provide an effective secretarial service for the Principal and wider senior leadershipteam, ensuring appropriate administrative procedures are undertaken. To Manage and oversee the schools Management Information System to ensure accurate recording ofstaff and student data.Key Tasks: • To ensure that all school pupil and staff records (Management InformationSystems) are maintained in an orderly manner, and information fromcommissioning schools is efficiently obtained. • To provide data and information when required to the Trust andexternal bodies including pupil information and Census data. • To effectively communicate with commissioning schools including the provision ofstudent progress data, intended destinations, examination results and attendance. • To maintain effective procedures for admission and withdrawal of pupils from theschool and liaise with commissioning schools as directed regarding placementsincluding admission arrangement coordination (transport). • To administer all correspondence, paperwork and other clerical duties requiredincluding the drafting and reproduction of letters, policies, reports and newslettersand other documentation required by the Principal and, members of the seniorleadership team. • To deal with enquiries, answering telephone and relaying messages to staff andpupils. • To effectively manage the Principal’s and whole school diary.
