I've often been told that one of my best skills is asking good questions. I tend to disagree - I think I just ask simple questions. I like engaging with people, and I like understanding things as well as I can. My background in corporate investment, strategy, and risk has fed my natural curiosity and required continuous relationship building. My experience to-date includes international roles in professional services and in-house corporate strategy roles. My professional sweet spot is using commercial tools to solve hard problems faced by organisations. Most of my favourite projects have been ones where commercial factors are important, but success is not ultimately defined by a financial outcome. As a Director at O'Connor Partners, I get to blend together technical skills in economics, investment, risk, and strategy to work with clients and help find solutions to their challenges.
