- My main duty is directing and overseeing the global project portfolios of around 300 projects for SDGs in 50 countries. The total value of the portfolios is approximately USD 2 billion which consist of technical assistance, capacity building and investment projects. Obviously this duty involves a comprehensive management area including the strategic alignment, portfolio performance management, progress mornitoring and feedback, risk management, and periodical reporting to the executive directors. - I lead the quality assuarance (QA) of the entire project life cyle such as project development, appraisal, implementation, mornitoring, evaluation and learning. In particular, I am now working on the reform process of all the project related guidelines and manuals.- In this position, I also work with various stakeholders such as Prime Minister's office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Assembly, international organizations and also the representatives of the private sector as they are delivery partners of our program.

As a Country Director, my primary duties encompass the development and execution of country strategies, as well as the management of the project portfolios, which includes priority sectors such as transportation, public administration, urban/rural development, and health with the particular emphasis on the gender equiality and digital inclusion as cross-cutting agenda . My role extends to the oversight of organizational performance and team management, ensuring that our agency meets its objectives efficiently and effectively.Moreover, I served as the agency's representative, establishing and nurturing partnerships with various institutions. This includes engaging with national and subnational governments to align our initiatives with their development priorities. Additionally, I liaised with international organizations and international NGOs, forging strategic collaborations that align with our agency's priority areas.In this office, I managed a multi-cultural country team, which included twenty five full-time staff members and a roster of various part-time consultants.

I held the responsibility of overseeing our project portfolios across Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. In this capacity, I ensured that our projects were aligned with the organizational strategies, collaborating closely with Country Directors in each of these nations.Furthermore, I managed and oversaw the agency's regional flagship programs under the Korean government's New Southern Policy. Notably, I spearheaded, 1) Digital Partnership for Inclusive Development, 2) Higher Education for a Prosperous Future, 3) Korea-Mekong Future Peace Community, 4) Smart Cities for the People and Planet, and 5) Inclusive Transportation for Balanced Growth.As the lead of the seven regional divisions, I facilitated coordination with other sectoral and functional divisions within the organization.

I served as the Director of the newly established Technology and Innovation Department, where I played a pivotal role in designing and successfully launching the inaugural tech-based innovation support program known as 'Creative Technology Solution (CTS).' This program was recognized as one of the agency's top ten major achievements, prominently featured in the KOICA annual report for 2015.Furthermore, I was entrusted with drafting the strategy for 'Science, Technology, and Innovation for a Better Life,' a critical component of the five Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) brand programs. This strategy garnered international attention when it was unveiled at the 70th UN Sustainable Development Summit by the President of the Republic of Korea.Within the department, I had the privilege of leading an exceptional team of eight competent staff members, enabling agile planning and effective management of various innovative initiatives.

Covered 8 country offices in the LAC region.Created a sub-regional program on 'Security Capacity Building Program in the Central America' in partnership with the Korean National Police.Developed a 'Triangular Cooperation Strategy in Latin America' in partnership with the academia.

Managed the project portfolios in the agriculture, health and environment sectors and implemented humanitrian assistances to the vulnerable population affected by the natural disasters.

Deeply engaged in the strategy development and implementation of the East Asia Climate Partnership Prgoram (EACP) in partnership with the Presidential Committe on Green Growth of the Korean government. The EACP was announced by the Korean President in the G8 Summit (2008). The program covered five sectors such as water management, low carbon city, low carbon energy, forest and biomass, and waste management.

Engaged in organizational policy-making and oversaw the policy implementation within various regional and sectoral departments.Closely worked with the Korean National Assembly and Minstry of Foreign Affairs to bolster their ODA initiatives within the policy agenda.

- Opened the KOICA Kenya office and forged partnerships with the Kenyan national governments, international/local NGOs, as well as international organizations.- Developed, designed and implemented projects in the areas of education, health, and sanitation.

Mananged health and sanitation projects as the agency's priority sectors. In particular, I did the planning and management of the General Hospital Establishment Project in the Central Region in Vietnam(US$ 35million), the largest grant ODA project in histotry.

Implemented projects involving feasibility studies for roads, dams, electricity, and water supply systems, in addition to developing basic and detailed designs and master plans. Managed initiatives related to clean water, waste management, and air pollution monitoring and control within the environmental sector.
