About Dafne Rojas
Hi there, my name is Dafne Rojas and I am a bilingual social services and education professional. I've been committed to advocating for youth's academic and overall well-being for a little over six years in a number of different roles, primarily in the educational setting from primary to college-level services. I consider myself to be a very personable, flexible, and creative individual, specifically attentive to education, community wellness, youth mental health, and trauma-informed care. I am also passionate about access to resources, equity, and LGBTQIA+ issues. I have a Bachelor of Arts Certificate in Journalism, Strategic Communications, and a minor in Leadership of Communities and Nonprofits. I have a natural talent for writing and communication. After graduating, I committed to gaining more direct client service experiences by completing two consecutive years of national service with AmeriCorps and building a well-rounded understanding of the internal workings and relationships between systems in public education, nonprofits, and communities. Currently, my goals include working with organizations and a variety of professionals to promote strong relationships and create safe and engaging spaces for members of underserved communities to feel welcome and thrive in. My interests are to continue being an advocate for young people, adults, and underserved communities, be a part of the reconstruction of access to resources, and be attentive to mental health initiatives.
