- Cardiac Step-down/Telemetry Inpatient Unit- Participate in hourly rounding (12 hours) and document patient information in EPIC software- Obtain and document height, weight, I’s and O’s, and vital signs on patients as directed by RN to include temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and notify RN of abnormalities- Answer call lights and provide basic care to patients that meet their physical and emotional needs under the direction of the RN

- Elected as chapter representative for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital- Organize, plan, and market events to raise money for children and their families- Communicate with an external St. Jude representative and oversee a committee for planning events- I have generated over $13,500 dollars in donations to date

- Write articles and take photographs to market ideas on navigating Emory’s college campus dining options and Atlanta/New York eats

- Communicated with vendors, created informational sheets and a fair map- Researched local and seasonal produce in Georgia to promote discussion, healthy diets, and sustainability in my community

Participated in a clinical research study on a vascular surgery patient

- Participated in a clinical and research-based program and observed complex surgical procedures in vascular surgery, orthopedics, ob/gyn, IR, general surgery, oncology, and endoscopy- Assisted in clinical research for papers being prepared for publication, attended vascular surgery rounds, attended biweekly lectures focused on advances in medicine, and shadowing the work of researchers in the vascular, histology, and catheterization labs. - Received training on wound suturing

- Worked with second grade students and aided children by modeling assignments, leading math and science lessons, helping youth work out interpersonal issues, and keep the physical classroom organized
