Daisy is a 4th-year undergraduate student at Simon Fraser University. She is focusing on Sustainable Energy Engineering and minoring in Business and Commerce. Daisy is passionate about smart cities technology and green neighborhood development. More than 50% of the world's population lives in urban areas, and the number is still growing. Daisy believes that practicing sustainability in cities with applications of smart cities technology will help to make our planet a cleaner and greener and more connected place.Daisy is also an active participant in many communities and organizations. She has been working in SFU Computational Sustainability Lab since 2020 June. Last year, seeing how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the co-op education experiences of students in her home school, she initiated and established the SFU Co-op Student Hub. She is also involved in Student Energy at SFU Chapter and other student organizations and clubs.
