As a senior researcher on the International Partnerships team at the ICCT, I work to enable the switch to zero-emission transportation worldwide by promoting ambitious, data-driven, and equitable policy at the city, state, and national level. I manage the ICCT's role as the Secretariat of the International ZEV Alliance, a group of 20 national, state, and provincial governments who collaborate closely to accelerate the ZEV transition.

As part of an external secondment, I worked in the Decarbonisation Strategy division to develop the UK's ZEV mandate for new cars and vans and support international ZEV campaigns.

As a Program Associate at the ICCT, I led and assisted on several research projects evaluating policies to transition to electric vehicles and to maximize their environmental benefits. This included supporting the International Zero-Emission Vehicle Alliance in their efforts to accelerate electric vehicle uptake, as well as analyzing data and communicating our findings with policymakers at every level in the United States and Europe.

During my fellowship at the ICCT, I researched best practices and new trends in electric vehicle policy at the state and federal level in the United States, as well as around the globe.My projects included researching utility best practices for supporting electric vehicles and the integration of zero-emission vehicles into the electric grid; as well as identifying the "Electric Vehicle Capitals of the World," the leading cities around the world in electric vehicle uptake and policy.

As the Financial Manager of ZAP, an on-campus independent house home to 54 undergraduate students, I was responsible for managing a large budget for food, house supplies, and social events. I worked with outside vendors, university staff, and residents to ensure the smooth functioning of the house. In addition, I worked with my fellow staff members to plan events and create a fun and welcoming community in ZAP.

Menlo Spark is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to working with government agencies, businesses, and residents to create a carbon-neutral Menlo Park and a healthier, more prosperous community. As a summer research intern, my primary responsibility is assisting the Menlo Park City Government in developing sustainable development plans. In addition, I am working with community partners and local businesses to decrease carbon emissions, advocating for better bike and pedestrian infrastructure in the city, and helping to manage Menlo Spark's social media programs.

Mathnasium is an award-winning math learning center for students in elementary school through calculus. As an instructor at this center, I tutor students of all ages, and have additionally taken on many other responsibilities:- Develop and deliver lessons and curricula for 2nd-11th grade students of all backgrounds.- Maintain company’s webpage, blog, and social media presence for search engine optimization, client communication, and recruitment.- Coordinate events such as community game nights with local businesses in the region.

The Church Group Laboratory is an observational cosmology laboratory that is building a sixteen-pixel microwave spectroscopy array for observing star formation and interstellar clumping. During my work in this lab during the summer and over the school year, I performed the following roles:- Built and tested electrical components, including power supplies, breakout boards, and amplifiers, at cryogenic temperatures.- Analyzed electrical and mechanical properties of components for the radio spectroscopy array.- Constructed and tested microwave anechoic chamber and signal testing chopper structure.- Wrote testing routines in Matlab for several instruments to measure devices and process data.- Supervised and taught a high school student summer intern at the lab.- Prepared and presented poster on research findings at interdisciplinary Stanford symposium.
