Would you believe me?Convinced by teachers and educational psychologists I’d never read or write, I grew up in Gorton also unable to tell the time at age 13.My education began when I left school and to date I’ve enjoyed a fantastic career…Lifeguard aged 16-19Leisure Attended aged 19-21Bought my first house aged 21Community Sports Development Officer for a yearFacilities Manager aged 22-25Managed MossSide Millennium Powerhouse 2007 to 2019Door Supervisor at Area 51 Deansgate Locks, multiple pubs and clubs across Greater Manchester and as far out as Preston and Morecambe. Provided security at licensed events including chaperoning several A list celebrities visiting our wonderful city.Made redundant in 2019 from the youth club.Took a couple of youth work related roles up until lockdown and now in my 4th year at the University of Manchester Residences. I’ve met some truly amazing, accomplished and well known individuals. Now I take pride in contributing to the best student experience of our future stars 🤩
