Dale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Michigan State University. For more than 25 years, Dale has been atthe center of building trades, construction code management issues and in building diagnostics in both Michigan and Colorado. He was appointed bythe Governor of Michigan to serve on the State Construction Code Commission in 2005 and 2006. Dale's diverse experience includes 15 years as a county code official, (6 as director managing a staff 22 and an enterprise budget of $2,300,000), 2 years as a construction supervisor, 4 years as a commercial appraiser, 6 years as a structural inspector, and 3 years as a Building Science Manager. Dale is a CBO and a registered instructor for the Michigan Bureau of Construction Codes. In additional he is certified level 1 Infrared Thermographer as well as a Qualified Building Commissioning Provider through the University of Wisconsin.
