Senior Engineer for Windows/Citrix mixed and growing environments. Work with the existing Engineering teams to implement, manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support hosted customer environments in large datacenters. Required to implement new system hardware and software, and develop operating procedures and policies as needed or requested. Monitor the ongoing operation of the environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security for our Managed service environments. Proactively monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and troubleshoot issues. Lead and participate in projects related to system implementations, upgrades, and migrations, and mentor junior and mid-level team members. • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for technical issues • Contribute to and enforce best practices for system security, performance, and reliability • Perform business-critical technical functions including Windows Server administration, Citrix administration, Cloud (Azure,AWS,Citrix) administration, VMware, and security compliance • Actively recommend, design, and implement enhancements to current tools and technologies • Coordinate and execute projects within the Infrastructure Systems domain • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level team members • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for adoption • Create, maintain and review system documentation in Confluence • Implemented IBM BigFix environment on Microsoft Windows platform to use as our primary Patch Management solution for 6k devices • Served as BigFix SME, setting up ALL BigFix Patch policies, creating Fixlets/Tasks and Analysis, installing BigFix agent on ALL devices, upgrading/patching BigFix environment and documentation
