Database Architect
Became MCPIT certificed for MSSQL.Transition was to fill immediate need of not allowing inefficient/poor SQL code to enter into our production systems which had become a priority problem - setup standards to follow, worked with code development teams on front-end regarding design (particularly under load) and implementation.• This resulted in reduction of CIRTs (Critical Incidents) and subsequent rollbacks. Analyst on multiple solutions including database design and logic implementation. Reviewed/optimized incoming stored procures/code to be placed into production. Developed guidelines for corporate wide database development. Additionally turned servers - particularly MSSQL Enterprise 64 CPU server finding best parallelism (with modification) for heavily used procedures.
Etl Developer, Microsoft Dynamics Ax Erp(Dax) Developer, Etl Senior Developer
MSSQL, DAX, Sagent, VB, C#, FileNetStarted off in 2003 working Contract for Hire at Asurion and quickly went full time. Involved in the rewrite of their existing enrollment system with Verizon being the primary client at the time. Some pieces where still in place up to the time I left. Also transtitioned thier RoadSide Assistance package to MSSQL working closely with Asurion's Houston devlopment team. After initial work on enrollments system started working with DAX team (CRM package) in major modification (pushing up to 30K phones a day through an assembly process line). There implemented, for our financial department, what was referenced as 3 dimensional accounting - basically added an additional cost break level (across company unit) and generated a new shipping system unlinking the hard ties with UPS. Also solved days old problem that had line running at 1/5 capacity. Was at times responsible for operational overview/support (read on-call) of these systems.Came back to ETL/enrollment as senior developer. Assisted in adding several additional telecoms in addition to managing the feed changes caused by multiple mergers and some splits that were happening in telecom at the time. Most ETL work performed in Sagent with MSSQL back-end (SPs) in addition to secure front-ends (FileNet ...) . Solely wrote first international enrollment system for Korea's KTF - vastly different from existing systems. Many projects in this realm due to constant enhancement request from clients and addition of remainder of the big 4 wireless telecoms, international telecoms and many regionals (each a somewhat different implementation). During this phase of my time with Asurion our department's systems expanded from just being enrollment processing to additionally handing most technical transfers between Asurion and our customers (the major telecoms). With all these systems dealt directly with customer technical teams for smooth implementation.
Senior Developer/Team Lead
Oracle 7 DBA/developer (PLSQL), PowerBuilder, MSSQL, Bourne Shell, VB, MS BatchAt Wright started off writing Shell scripts for Sun OS4.1 (Solaris) combined with linux DBA and developer responsibilities with Oracle 7. Later utilized PowerBuilder, DataArchitect and MSSQL to develop PR2PO. A system starting in AutoCad and moving through to PO requisition. Basically allowed Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to created a Bill of Material (for generation of customer one off assembly lines - HP ink jet, Gillette Mach III, golf clubs, diapers, Li Ion batteries, defense ...) and from CAD BOM order parts required - properly approved, timed, ordered and marked for placement in production while covering exceptions. Also developed several general/OS automatons to assist production.
