Post acquistion, I ran and assisted with the handover of the s2s accounting and finance function to NG Bailey head office in Leeds. Thereafter I headed up commercial and contract management for s2s until I resigned in August 2010.

s2s was started in 2000 with a small capital investment from my brother Scott and I. The business achieved record growth through specialising in security and rolling out innovative products and services. We developed the methodology of People, Process and Technology working together to add business value.To support the record growth, I developed efficient and automated accounts and finance processes that meant that at all times we were trading with real time management information. This allowed Scott and I to make business critical decisions quickly and take advantage of opportunities in the market when they arose.s2s achieved record growth over the 7 years from 2001 to 2007 of 73% pa and increased staff numbers from 2 to 22 people (of which only 2 were administrative). s2s was increasingly profitable and continuously cash flow positive. This allowed us to build a substantial balance sheet of 6 times our monthly overheads. At s2s we took great pride in being self funded, never going into overdraft and securing trade facilities in excess of £ 5 million which were always paid on time.During 2007, after numerous approaches we entered into a competitive trade sale of s2s. During the building of our data room, our legal team and advisors were amazed at the level of organisation and detail that we ran s2s with.
